Keep Perspective
PEAK believes that learning is not defined by a test score. Like other tools, testing is one way to measure student growth through the years. It is important to approach testing as such; a tool. Test results can help learners pinpoint areas of strengths and weaknesses in their learning.
Taking a test is a skill in itself that most jobs will require in adult years. Teachers, lawyers, realtors, plumbers, CPAs, doctors, and more must take a test to be certified and licensed in America. Don’t succumb to text anxiety. Let this be another experience in learning how the real world works. Learning how to learn requires measuring progress and a National Standardized Test is one way to assess growth.
What to Bring
Certified teachers from PEAK will administer the Stanford in a kind, loving environment.
Please send the following with your child:
sack lunch
water bottle
book or quiet activity
healthy snack
We will break for lunch and play on the playground. When your child finishes each section, they will be escorted into a common room to read, color, or munch a snack while others finish testing.
